Wont a nearby wolf outside eat bear meat on the ground? I mean, thats a really good idea that i plan on using now that i think about it but what if wolves eat it 0. I like to do the one pounders for building harvesting and cooking skills and for having 500 calorie snacks. Usually when I harvest a bear for example I'll harvest 1 pound slabs and keep dropping them on the ground about 20 pounds at a time.I can get the whole bear harvested and cooked with none wasted and all fresh. At worst near the end some pieces of the raw meat will be gamey(around 85%) but after cooking it's fresh again. What you can do is try and manage the 40kg you have for essentials. Any kind of container in the game doesnt degrade or lose its properties. Id assume other items with degradation have similar behavior. I usually put raw and cooked meat outdoors because the decay rate is much lower in the cold. The meat on the table rotted and disappeared long before the one in the container. nothing ever despawns except a fully harvested animal.and as far as food goes canned goods and snacks will decay. Even if it hasnt been touched for like 50 in game days?įrom my experience everything has a decay rate.not sure on rifles and tools though.I once made a second pair of rabbit mittens for a backup and it slowly decayed a bit just stting in the locker.
